We believe that Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) is a great enabler of creativity and gives the widest possible access to powerful creative, media and information tools. Whereas Free and Open Source Software removes barriers proprietary software tends to erect them and gives control of information and production to a few commercial organisations. We also believe that using Free and Open Source Software would give many organisations more powerful IT infrastructures for much less money, and thus would make them more effective. We also believe in free culture where within a creative society every individual has the freedom to create, since creativity requires inspiration and inspiration comes from other creations, there should be freedom to build upon the creations of others and share knowledge to all.
